The Mooring MinuteDiscipline Your Disappointment!

Life is not a straight line, neither is sailing! Sometimes the long way is the best way.
In nature, the way things grow, they wind their way up. It’s the cumulative effects of many starts and stops. The same is true for sailing. You have a big lead, you think all is well, the wind stops, the fleet catches up, the wind fills and you start all over again.

So when things don’t go your way and you are devastated, it’s not the action which defines you, it’s your reaction which makes you great! It’s how fast you get up and get going again and doing all those things that you do so well. Focus on doing what got you in the lead to begin with. Fighting for something, the act of focusing forward,  remaining true to your dream and then achieving it, is the process which makes you value your achievement.  Without the heart ache, you can’t fully appreciate your heart, or the fruit of your achievements! So discipline your disappointment! Focus forward and enjoy the journey. So untie the ties holding you back and head out and build your legacy!
