The Culture Of A Great Team!
It’s been said that the only way to get people to do great things is if they love what they do!
They are true patriots of cause and will do what it takes to be successful. Your partners care about what we care about the most, (Sailing) and are there through both the good and the bad. To have a great team, you have to have a growth mindset, to be able to adapt to change as no good plan goes as planned. We have to embrace flaws to see setbacks as opportunities. To coach vs. criticize, as to criticize means to close your crew’s mind to growth and possibility. We each must strive to focus forward on the path of continued growth, to embrace the process of getting better each leg, each race at a time, then to be stuck on the outcome of each maneuver or mark rounding.
When focusing on growth you focus on what makes good things great, there is no wrong question, when focusing on growth the team tries harder as everything is possible and opportunities are endless.
So change your in-boat culture from that of a fixed mindset to that of a growth mindset and watch the team blossom and your final tallies become what they are destined to be.
So untie the ties which are holding you back and head out and build your legacy one race one score at a time!
